  • Description

As officials from 194 countries gather in Cancun, Mexico, for yet another Global Climate Summit, newly published research by the British Meteorological Office again confirms that the planet's average maximum temperatures have never been so high and that man-induced causes, principally carbon emissions, are increasingly responsible. Debate on the reality of the problem is likely to be intense at the summit, but the worlds decision makers in Cancun can now benefit from the additional efforts of climatologists using data gathered by the European Space Agency in the framework of its new Climate Change Initiative launched this year.
