Thank you for your interesting comment. We respect the views and opinions feedback of all our readers. We have heard of the story to which you refer, and this comes from the British Communist Party newspaper Daily Worker which carried a dramatic article reporting on a flight mishap involving Vladimir Ilyushin, a well-known test pilot and son of legendary aviation and spacecraft designer Sergei Ilyushin. According to historians and former cosmonauts, it is now known that Ilyushin was not one of the first cosmonaut team. It is also known that he had been seriously injured on 8 June 1960 not in a Vostok spacecraft, but in an automobile accident.

Youri Gagarin was not first mane in the space and celebrating 50-th aniversary his flight to the space today is total disaster nad big shame of this Agency..That is a enormous lie...First man in space was Vladimir Illyoushin, son of the famous russian airplane designer Serghei Illyoushin. So, you must ask all the agencies in Russia, investigate all data about Vladimir Illyoushin, ask U.K. they have undisputable evidencies about the case of Vladimir Ilyoushin...In China, there are doctors who medcial treated Vladimir Ilyoushin after almost dreadful landing on the Chinese soil...Me personaly, would like to be a part of ceremony where ESA will apologize to the Vladimir Ilyoushin about incredible and terrible failure and mistake...I would like that the presidents of USA, Russian Federation, China, France and Queen of U.K. take the part of such ceremony of forgivness, piece and admittih the truth who was the first man in the space...furthemore, I propose that in this ceremony ESA give admission to Vladimir Illyoushin as the first male and Valentina Tereshkowa as the firs female in the space.
