I worked on ERS-2 for over 2 years being PA Manager for the SAR and SCATT processors at Matra Marconi Space. It is a very humbling experience for me to see the wonderful work accomplished by the satellite. It was a great feeling to be part of a dedicated team.

Hi ESA ...

another opportunity to share Your experiences and knowledges with us ...

for the ones who had subscribed to the newsletter, it's always a pleasure to have the "Privilège" of viewing this kind of "Fresh" content ...

Sure You could configure the Videos with a loop effect ...

It will make us gain some time :)

I find the purpose well-summuring most of the communications we had followed this summer for the ESA followers ...

It's a good end before engaging the processes to try to take the more benefits we can with ESRI tools and ERS data delivery ...

The "Green" Approach, recognizing it Was a real Worldwide Challenge by having "stopped the Activity" of the unit with the large time due to the tasks well described in September news letters, is a Success !

Really waiting for the Future and Next Experiences around dusts and debris collect for example, or New Ideas to Avoid Components loss and why not thinking of BIO-destructible materials thaht wold be the essential part of conception of Next Generations "Sat's" ?

I think that with ESA, after the end of the US Space Conquest, Every Thing is Possible !

Please excuse this long comment, but This is the reflect of the pleasure I took reading and viewing ESA and ESRI and other resources on the web last months.

TY ESA, TY GMES and other teams, IT's nice of you to share such views ... Cordialy, MZERMA Amine

It is always very interesting to watch these kind of videos as they give the viewer a great impression on the importance of the work done by ESA and the international space community. Often a time, it is hard to keep track of the work done over an extended period of time by the different satellites orbiting earth and these kind of videos certainly help a lot in this aspect.

I believe there is a small error in the commentary at around 12 minutes "3 and a half billion journeys around the Earth" should probably be "3.5 billion km" (at 14 orbits per day it is certainly not 3.5 billion orbits).
Thank you for such a good summary of the significance ERS missions!

It is impressing that ESA can control the "death" of a satellite which has done a good job for 20 years and take it down to a lower orbit til finally it burns up in the atmosphere without contamination and not ending as scrap moving around the earth in decades.
